Blue Orleans
Chattanooga, Tennessee
It is still up and running.
The short answer
Creole/Cajun seafood restaurant operating since 2007 under exec chef/owner Mike Adams; official site (blueorleansdowntown.com) live per snippet, 4.0/5 Yelp (455 reviews).
What happened on the show
Mike and Cherita opened Blue Orleans in Chattanooga after Hurricane Katrina took everything they had in New Orleans, which made the stakes of the episode painfully personal. By the time Irvine arrived the couple was divorcing, their family restaurant was foundering, and their kids Dallen and Jolie were caught in the middle of it. Fixing the numbers was only half the assignment; the other half was trying to bring some peace back to a family coming apart inside its own business. Much of his forty-eight hours went to refereeing two owners who could barely share a room, and only around that did the tasting, the operational fixes, and a quick reset of the dining space fit in. Since the teaser fixes on the divorce and the children between it, we leave the kitchen specifics the record does not give and keep the weight on the family.
After the cameras left
Blue Orleans came through the rescue and kept going. The Creole and Cajun seafood restaurant, operating since 2007 under executive chef and owner Mike Adams, still runs its official site and carries a 4.0 out of 5 across roughly 455 Yelp reviews from its Market Street address in downtown Chattanooga. Verified open at our most recent look, and a clearer survival than most of its season.
