What happened on the show
In the Letchworth kitchen of La Lanterna, Ramsay found no real Italian ingredients, just a reliance on pre-cooked and packaged food. His meal ran from greasy minestrone to breadsticks still in their wrapper to sausages on garlic bread he compared, memorably, to something obscene. The walk-in held Pot Noodles and rotting vegetables, and the floors were strewn with debris, though remarkably no vermin.
