The short answer
225-room full-service hotel with banquet/meeting space; listed across multiple directories, but freshest dated corroborating reference found was from 2022.
What happened on the show
In Winter Haven, Florida, near the Legoland draw, Melchiorri took on a full-service hotel of some 225 rooms with banquet and meeting space, hobbled by an absentee owner and a plain lack of management. The episode, Blind Faith, captured a large property essentially running itself because the person responsible was not there. A 225-room hotel with conference facilities is a complex operation that cannot function on autopilot, and an absentee owner leaves rooms, events and staff without direction. Anthony worked the rooms, the event spaces and the operation, pushing for real, present management and an owner willing to engage with a property of that scale. His counsel restated the lesson the run kept teaching for a large hotel undone by neglect at the top: a building this size needs someone actually running it day to day, because demand alone cannot cover for an absent hand at the wheel.
After the cameras left
The Winter Haven Suites appears to still be operating, though our confidence is limited. As of our 2026 pass the 225-room full-service hotel at 1150 3rd Street SW is listed across multiple directories, but the freshest dated corroboration we could find was several years old, with no explicit recent confirmation despite active booking listings. We log the status as confirmed operating with low confidence and flag it as a recheck candidate for a direct site or social confirmation. Last confirmed present in listings during our 2026 check.
