The short answer

Its status today is unclear. The last confirmed sighting we found dates to 2014.

What happened on the show

Along the oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, the Carnival was a 24-room motel near 25th Avenue North, sometimes listed as the Carnival Motor Inn, a small budget property in one of the East Coast's most competitive beach markets. The episode, Making Waves, took on a modest oceanfront motel trying to hold its ground against a wall of larger, newer competitors on the same sand. A 24-room independent survives on location, value and reviews, with no margin for a soft operation. Melchiorri ran a hard eye over the whole property, pushing ownership to make the most of the oceanfront position and to deliver the clean, dependable stay that keeps a small motel's reviews and repeat trade alive. His guidance tracked the value-property lesson: at this scale and price, standards and consistency are the whole business.

After the cameras left

The Carnival's current status could not be pinned down. Across repeated searches in our 2026 pass, no current listing surfaced on any major booking platform, a notable absence given that those same aggregators cover most other Myrtle Beach properties, which is suggestive of a closure but falls short of proof. With no dated confirmation either way, we treat the status as unverifiable and last confirmed only around the 2014 broadcast, when it operated as a 24-room oceanfront motel near 25th Avenue North. It stays a recheck candidate for county property records or local news archives.
